I could find a hundred things to post on a wall banner. With so many ideas I wanted these to be fast, inexpensive, simple, and made with what I have sitting around my studio.
These are fun and you could make one for every season and occasion. We used them to make troop banners for our Girl Scout troops. The girls really enjoyed making them together. My daughters also enjoyed making some for their bedroom.
I taught my first class on Skillshare about this. It’s my very first video, so it was a little scary for me. It was fun though. I’m proud of myself that I followed through and at least got it posted. Anyone else that is a procrastinator by nature understands that FINISHING is a big goal. Since I posted the class I have the link to share that will give anyone wanting to see what Skillshare is about a chance to try it for 3 months for only 99 cents. That’s how I found them. I do get points if you enroll in my class and a bonus if you take advantage of the 99 cent offer. It won’t cost you anything extra of course and you get the great deal:) Here is my link to the class on the No Sew Wall Banners. If you are on Skillshare all ready….I would be really grateful if you checked out my class…and of course tell me yours. I always follow back.
If you are a crafter and you are not on Skillshare..I’ll tell you just quickly that you should try it! I have never done anything like it before myself and I did it! That means you can do it. I’ll get better with my next classes, but at least I STARTED. That is huge to me. I’ve been wanting to teach classes and this was a great learning experience with some software that I’ve never used. (I used iMovie for the first time….awesome!) You could use a lot of different things..they have classes on all of it. I used Power Point and my 13-year-old son.
I’m really trying to figure out how to make some of this work for me now that I have one going off to college and three more coming up behind him. (OMG it’s expensive!!) Teaching online seems like something I really can see myself doing. I’m going to try to dive right into this. If you want to dive in with me please let me know. They don’t have a link that I can post for this, but if I can refer people who want to teach I get a bonus. Yes, I’m pushing for those bonuses right now….did I mention college is like CRAZY expensive?:P
There are a few platforms for online teaching. I’m looking at mostly craft and sewing. If you are teaching on another platform please let me know in the comments. I’m looking to sign up for all that I can right now.
I’m not going to leave you hanging if you don’t want to try out Skillshare… this tutorial is super easy. I do go more into detail with the time on the No Sew Wall Banner Class…:)
The non- video tutorial is right here….click this link..
