Is it bad to love a good sick day? There is something really wonderful about giving your child that one extra sick day to really get over being sick. They are OK…not really up to a full day of school..but well enough to hang out and enjoy a gentle day home with Mom. I always like to give my kids that extra “getting over it” day. When you have 4 kids, you cherish the one on one time with each one when you get it.

This is what little E and I did with it today.

(yes….our studio has really gotten that messy that we sit on the floor….my sewing machine has taken up the table for right now.)

I don’t really have a tutorial. We looked at a bunch of pictures on Pinterest. (That’s Little E’s favorite quiet time activity.) We love pom poms…we hang them from the curtain rods, so that part was no problem. We just made a large and medium pom pom with our Clover Pom Pom makers. They stay together well enough for Little E to make them on her own. A million times better than cardboard circles if you love pom poms like we do.

We cut the ears, eye circles, and nose from felt. I don’t let her use the glue gun yet and the felt glue just didn’t work. She stuck it all together once I had the glue applied. She then finished off with black beads for eyes and a ribbon bow. She couldn’t wait to show her sister.
